In October 2013, 13 Australians undertook a leadership development program with The Everest Academy (TEA) in the Nepal Himalaya. The program took place throughout a 20 day expedition to Mera Peak (6476m). Professional photographer and documentary filmmaker Mark Stennett followed the group and documented their journey. This program was led and facilitated by TEA Director of Operations Nick Farr. The resultant documentary - Six Peaks - is a compelling story of people discovering leadership and their own ability to influence and contribute to an extraordinary outcome. This is non-negotiable winning in a harsh and unpredictable mountain environment. The challenges associated with living and working at altitude, self-discovery and overcoming constant hardship are woven carefully with candid interviews of the participants as they strive to achieve their own personal summits.
